Voting Question: Wiimote battery trouble?

i have two wiimotes and a charging dock aswell. i put the two wiimotes in the charging dock (with the rechargable battery packs of course) and it says on the dock that it charges. I usually take it off the dock to play with, but it seems that the wiimote either isnt connected to the wii or the batteries arent charged enough. From then, i would usually put in two AA batteries and play with them util they run out, which usually is about half an hour. Do you think its the batteries? or do you think it is a problem with the wiimote?

Resolved Question: Found: LG Dare, no battery. Needed: Way to turn it on to find out whose phone it is, but w/o buying battery.?

Any ideas? I've improvised with regular adapters and hand-helds before, but connecting to a rechargable lithium battery is likely to require at least somewhat different handling. I don't have money right now, but I've got lots of spare adapters of various strengths and a tool for telling if a circuit is being made between two leads so that I'll know I'm not wasting electricity on the neutral node. I've also tried finding a pal with a phone that had a compatible battery, but while I've got plenty of friends, none of their batteries worked. Ideas? :-? The only reason I hesitate to buy one is that if I find out whose phone it is & give it back to them, I'm potentially out a few bucks just for trying to do the honest thing. I've also browsed the lost & founds to no avail. I hesitate to post a "found" ad until I know a little something about who I'd be contacting - there are every sorts of scenarios with discarded cell phones that I'd not want to knowingly receive involved with, if you catch my meaning.

Voting Question: Do you believe that smoking will be banned eventually?

There is a new, electronic cigarette that emits microscopic droplets of nicotine when you inhale via a cartridge inserted into the fake cigarette. The vapor trail is "for looks only and is harmless to anyone close you" and the end lights up orange "just for looks". It's about $89.95 and is run on a rechargable battery. I believe that this is going to be the ONLY cigarette available to the public in the close future. So, to the question: Would you rather quit or would you resort to this to receive your fix? And ultimately, do you think cigs will be banned in the close future?

Voting Question: Has anyone else had or heard of problems with Nyko rechargable battery packs for Xbox 360 controllers?

I recently purchased some Nyko rechargable battery packs for my wireless xbox 360 controllers. The battery packs worked fine when I first put them in to my controllers. However, after I used up every their power and recharged them, they quit working. My controllers power up, but they will not sync up with the xbox. I have tried pressing the sync buttons on the controllers and the xbox several times, but it does not work. When I place standard AA batteries in to my controllers, they work fine. So I know it is something to do with the battery packs. I am not sure if the charger did not give them a full charge, or if the battery packs are just defective. I have 4 of the battery packs and only 1 charger. every 4 of the battery packs act like they are fully charged when I place them in to the charger. Any help with this would be appreciated.

Resolved Question: Do xbox 360's consoles have wireless controller problems?

I recently purchased a used xbox 360 console at a garage sale. It came with a wired controller. I decided that I would prefer wireless controllers so I went out and bought 2 of them(made by microsoft), with rechargable battery packs(made by nyko). The controllers worked fine when I got them. The batteries went dead and I recharged them, however, now the controllers will not sync up with the console. Is this a common problem? I have tried putting regular AA batteries in to the controllers to look if that the batteries were the problem, but that has not helped. I have tried pressing the sync button on the xbox 360 and on the controllers hundreds of times, but for some reason, they just wont sync up any more. I have also tried moving my xbox 360 to the top of my television, thinking that maybe there was interfence, but that has not helped either. I really do not think that both controllers could have gone bad, especially since they were brand new. So I am thinking it could be some sort of problem with the xbox or some outside interfence. What is the best way for me to solve this mystery? Thank you ahead of time for your help. Ok, I just tried some better AA batteries. The AA batteries I tried before were off brand ones, I tried some eneloop rechargables that I normally use with my camera and they are working great. Apparently the Nyko rechargable battery packs or their charger has something wrong. I just noticed that the lights on the charger turn off a few seconds after I put the battery in to it, acting like the battery is fully charged. However, my controller is blinking, telling me that it is not charged. Ok, and I just now did some reading and it turns out that these Nyko recharable battery pack kits have a lot of problems. So now I am 99% sure it is the Nyko battery packs causing my problems. The only thing I need to figure out now is if I need a replacement charger, or if I need new battery packs.

Voting Question: replace LiOn Laptop Battery cells with NiMh cells...?

I have a laptop with a bad battery, and I want to replace the lithium ion cells with rechargable AA batteries with 9 times the capacity of the originals, but with the same voltage. Will i risk blowing anything up by doing this, and will the computer be able to charge the batteries after the replacement? If it helps,it's the factory battery in an Averatec "aka TriGem" 3200 laptop. i understand that averatec sells new batteries, but i wanted cheaper and higher capacity, while doing it myself, and yes,i have checked, they will fit in 3 groups of 3,equaling 10.8 volts like the current batteries, every i want to know is if the charging circuit will charge the replacements, and if it will power the laptop. the original battery pack was 10.8 volts at 4400mah,with 3 3.6 volt cells inside,my AA's are 1.2volt 2650mah batteries,9X1.2=10.8. 2650X9=23850 an upgrade from 4.4ah to 23.8ah is a big improvement that I would adore to make to my laptop.

Voting Question: What is this type of battery called?

Hi, there are frequent power outs where I live and at first they were nice of fun, to look how creative I could receive without any power, and how long I could last. Reading by candlelight and thinking up ways of what meals I could prepare without cooking etc. But now I'm sick of them. I also have a 16 month old daughter which makes things more difficult. I've since bought a tiny camping stove, but now what I'm really looking for is like a portable battery source, preferably rechargable (when the power is back on lol) that has like 1 or 2 outlets that I can plug in an appliance...and advice towards how big an applicance can these things take and for like how long. Give me as much detail as possible including what name or what to google for because I would probably have to buy it from Ebay or Amazon, if they sell them. Or buy it when I'm next away from my town. Thanks heaps!!!

Open Question: What are some good options for digital cameras right now?

I have a kodak easy share and have had it for about 2 1/2 years now. I don't like it as much right now. It is starting to freeze up. kodak rechargable batteries don't hold a charge it could be fully charged and then close off. It doesn't turn on every the time and etc... I am looking to buy a new digital camera. It is more just for personal use. Like family events and christmas and just catching my kids grow up!! The kodak I have is my first camera and I am looking to upgrade and need to know what to look for. I want to stay below $150, since it isn't for any type of professional use. But I do want it to last for more than 2 years and for the rechargeable batteries to hold a charge. (is this just the kodak brand and should I stay away from them?) any advice is greatly appreciated.
